the one with multiple posts

was just scrolling through my iPhone's camera roll and i indeed, found a few pictures to blog about.

1. ACN and the client's community day cum annual dinner in one of the hotels around CBD. to be honest, i was merely expecting fried noddles/bihun, nasi lemak, rendang (the standard package), but was genuinely surprised with the selection. the event even comes with free flow of beer, red wine et cetera.

2. had dinner with the twins and SY in the japanese restaurant in one world hotel; kura. no pictures from there, as i was distracted by SC, perpetually asking me iPhone related questions (she got hers the day before). right after dinner, we headed to alexis, bangsar for drinks and desert.

3. didn't expect taman tun dr ismail to house a decent place selling ipoh chicken hor fun as i always envisaged this place to cater mediocre food towards the working community there.

4. dinner with the family in a chinese restaurant around jalan pudu. this place brings back loads of nostalgia as i have been patronising this place, even since i was like 14?

a flatmate's visit

jin (my flatmate) in melbourne, decided to drive up from JB to KL for a day shopping trip.

since he only has a night to spare and he hasn't patronise KL since primary school, i'd thought it will be good, to maximise his trip here. so in summary, the chronological order of the cover-KL-in-less-than-5-hours trip.

1. left the office at 6.45pm
2. arrived in gardens hotel by 7pm
3. drove back up to CBD and straight to pavillion (in which he did his shopping there)
4. left for dinner at soo kee (in jalan imbi) for its famous beef noodles at 8.45pm
5. arrived in lunabar for a couple of drinks at 9.15pm
6. walked across the road to various discotheques/clubs, in order to allow him to "scrutinise" the local scene better
7. drove along the federal highway to sunway, to show jin, the monash sunway campus and the sunway area in general
8. proceeded to subang jaya to point out to him, the prominent colleges around that area at 11pm
9. back to federal highway and dropped him back in the hotel shortly.
10. got home, precisely at 12am. showered and hit the old dusty trails soon after.

here are the pictures, taken in lunabar

the week before christmas

seems like every shopping malls around the klang valley are vying for the most decorated mall for the festive season.

erm, another food orientated post? what's new, right? i typically spend most of my time at work and since i'm not gonna blog with regards to it, so what alternative does it leaves me with?

had lunch in delicious, midvalley and its prices are definitely skewed towards the insane side i.e . approximately MYR20 for this salad (but i have to add that, it consists of a generous amount of duck)

the bill comes up to approximately MYR110 for this round.

it is either this or that...

another food orientated post.

it doesn't leave me with much choice, if i want to commit myself to the blog-at-least-twice-a-week quota (self-inflicted)

anyway, here are some pictures from a dinner event in rakuzen, hartamas. total damage for all is approximately MYR100

evan's recent purchase of AUD1047 worth of espresso machines, has finally been credited into my MYERone account!

subsequently, my membership has also been bumped up to silver level/tier!

what a pleasant surprise to learn that...

the iPhone supports the work email account and best of all, with PUSH capabilities!

*smiles*

oh wait... no more excuses to dodge work then! =(

ole ole bali, solaris mont kiara

the one thing, which i always look forward to during my internship programme, is lunch!

the teams do take some initiatives to round the rest, once in a while, for slightly longer lunch breaks.

having said that, we were in ole ole bali yesterday =)

we sat outside

you can't run away from this...

the first thing, that my mother conveyed to me when she first saw me upon arriving in malaysia (after 9 months) is, the distinctive crow's feet and fine lines around the circumference of my eyes.

oh well, it is inevitable and the only thing that i can do is, to slow down the process a little.

i wanted to opt for the "richest" product available initially (for convenience sake), but held back at the thought of oil seeds i.e. milia occurring prematurely.

hence, i opted for a milder version first...

saw this cute, stationary case too, whilst i was in 1 utama. heh!

yes, it is far too childish. surely my prospective employer will have some reservations hiring me, if he/she sees me lugging this around...
